Hello! Welcome to my blog! This is my first post on this thing that they call "blogger", so I think that I'd like to take the time to introduce you to myself first and foremost, before I continue with anything else.
So, why did I start this blog? I'm currently taking a class at UMASS Boston that requires me to. Sad, I know, however, this blog is something that I've been thinking about doing for a long time. I always leave work each night with a million stories and I do like to share them with people. I also am an insomniac at this point in my life, working in the nightlife industry for over 5 years, so it might give me something to do at 4am when I get home to my apartment after leaving the club, finally. Anyway, about me! This is me:
It's definitely not my favorite pictue of myself, but it will do for now. Plus, you can see the bar, and I'm working, so I figured that it was deemed appropriate for the current situation. I'm 23, single, living in Revere (just on the north shore of Boston) with a roomie, who I love! (yay, Emily you're in my first post!) I work at DOWN Ultra Lounge in the Financial District of downtown Boston. (184 High Street if any of you want to experience my posts for real!) I've been working there since we opened in August of last year, and been behind the bar, slingin' drinkin ever since. I love my job, but I see some crash ish on a nightly basis, and people always ask me what it's like to work at a place like DOWN where we get celebrities, sports stars, and just crazy people in general coming through our doors every night.
Here, you can read some of my stories, and even request stories if you want to know more about anything in the industry, I'd be more than happy to answer questions if any one is curious about my endeavors! I hope everyone enjoys and I will be talking to you soon.
Lights are on, everyone out. [KC]

My favorite blog so far, I like the pictures and love how you are brutally honest about your experience.. I always wanted to be a bartender?
ReplyDeletethat is supposed to be an exclamation mark at the end and not a question mark!! Sorry about that!
